 115Idist meetings (page 115)

Idist meetings

The best way to enhance and maintain an idist's vocabulary and pronounciation of Ido is by using it in communication with others in person. Secondary in video or audio conference calls.

Every year the formal Ido organization Uniono por la Linguo Internaciona Ido holds a conference* which until no has been held in Europe with a few dozens of participants. In the Esperanto movement the World Congress of Esperanto gather around one thousand each year depending on the location.2015-05-30

But there should be more meetings and most of them should be informal. International holiday destinations and major cities could have a specific bar or café where everyeach Tuesday at a specified clock you could meet other Idists. The bar/café should then be instructed or maybe even have a sticker on the telling that it is an IdoSpoto.2015-05-30

*

This is not a formal conference but more a week long gettogether where tourism and work are mixed together to form a reinforcement of the Idist movement.
